The story of log furniture maker, Sasquatch Woodworks is a special one. It all started with two brothers who had a dream to build something from nothing. Moving to the mountains of western Wyoming, and surrounded by nature and the beauty that inspired us. After each building our homes, we eventually decided to start our own woodworking business, Sasquatch Woodworks.
We have been able to use the fire-seasoned pine from the wildfire that swept through our area in 2018. Besides the pine, we also work with reclaimed wood from other sources to create beautiful furniture pieces that reflect our philosophy of balance—a balance of old techniques and new ones.
Our Log Furniture Making Philosophy Is Balance
When making log furniture, we use traditional techniques such as mortise-and-tenon joinery combined with modern CNC routers to create pieces that are both beautiful and durable. Our goal is to create timeless pieces that will last for generations, while also being sustainable and eco-friendly. In addition, we also offer custom-made furniture pieces for customers who want something truly special.
About Sasquatch
Are you curious how we came up with our name? We got the big guy, shown here in the photo and put him at the end of our driveway. He is such a statement piece that we thought, “We just have to name our business after him”. Hence, the name Sasquatch Woodworks. If you are ever in the area, stop by and take your picture with him.
